SPENT THE AFTERNOON AT THE E.R.....

Poor little Sienna dislocated her tiny little elbow today:( We went swimming this morning and on our way home Nathan was simply helping Sienna up the first step of our stairs and was holding her forearm, she screamed, Nathan let go and he carried her upstairs. She wound'n't stop crying and she was holding her arm and wouldn't move it or let anyone touch it. Nathan felt soooooo bad!!! We gave her some meds and then he quickly found an Urgent care place that took our insurance. We went and they thought it was either dislocated or fractured- but they didn't have any pediatricians on staff, so we ended up having to go to the ER. We got there, they said it is very common in children 4 and under. It's called Nursemaid's elbow. Since she didn't fall or had any blunt force trama- it wasn't broken. Just a dislocation, they literally did a quick bend of her elbow to pop it back in, and I am not exaggerating..... 5 seconds later, she moved her arm, jumped down off Nathan's lap, and was running around laughing in the room:) Glad it wasn't broken or anything, but really.... I could've done that and saved us the 100 dollar ER co pay. Needless to say, we felt so bad for our little Sienna, she was quite the site walking holding her little arm close to her body. Soooo glad she is feeling better and that she is her little 2 year toddler self again!

That happened to Ash once! And once it happens once it'll happen really easily on that arm for a couple years...maybe they just grow out of it after that or something. :( I didn't know about this...I'm so sorry!! Poor Sienna
